Photo Gallery: Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 celebrates 75 years

-

Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 celebrated 75 years in Naperville on Friday, January 11, named in recognition of Judd Kendall, a World War I hero. Before serving his country, Naperville’s native son first attended Ellsworth Elementary and Naperville High School, then North Central College.

Located at 908 W. Jackson, the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873, is not only the venue for Veteran-related meetings, socials, festivities and fish fry fundraisers, its banquet room and weatherized-indoor back porch are open to the community for rentals. For instance, the Naperville Jaycees meet at the Judd Kendall VFW Post on the second Tuesday of most months.

In addition to PN’s photos, many photos by Jim Hoch.

PN Ombudsman
An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
