The Farm to Fork gourmet dinner is set from 5 to 8:30PM on Sat., Aug. 18, at McDonald Farm in Naperville. Reservations are now being taken. The dinner includes a four-course world-class meal featuring wine and vegetables grown on the surrounding farmstead.
“Iron Chef America” alumnus chef Paul Virant, the owner of Vie in Western Springs and Vistro in Hinsdale, has designed a unique menu that he will be preparing onsite, using organic vegetables grown at the farm by the Green Earth Institute, a community supported agriculture program of The Conservation Foundation.
Dining is al fresco under a tent on the grounds of The Conservation Foundation’s headquarters. Guests are reminded to dress comfortably. There is no rain date.
Chef Paul is nationally acclaimed for his culinary creations featuring contemporary Midwestern cuisine that emphasizes canned and preserved ingredients.
While dining on the 60-acre farm not far from where some of the evening’s meal was grown, guests will be entertained by Yorkville resident Katie Moritz, an award-winning hammered dulcimer musician.
