NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Beginning the week of May 14, the City of Naperville will begin routine maintenance work on the Van Buren Parking Deck, located at 43 W. Van Buren St, as part of the downtown parking deck maintenance program. Work is expected to take approximately five weeks, pending weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Over the course of the project, City contractors will repair and replace deck joints and sealant on the uppermost level of the parking deck. The work performed during this project will prevent water from leaking through to the lower decks and contributing to further deterioration of the structure and related components.
First Phase / 10PM to 6AM beginning May 13, 2018
The first phase of work will begin on the west expansion deck of the fifth floor. For the first week, crews will work overnight between 10PM. and 6AM. Crews will begin work on Sunday, May 13 at 10PM. After the first phase is complete, work will commence on the remaining areas of the fifth floor.
Next Phase / 7AM to 4PM beginning May 21, 2018
This next phase of work is expected to begin the week of May 21 and crews will work between the hours of 7AM to 4PM.
The entire fifth floor and portions of the fourth floor will be inaccessible during the work week (Monday through Friday) for the entire project. Unless otherwise noted, all levels of the parking deck will be re-opened and available for use on Saturdays and Sundays.
