Project HELP is ‘lucky duck’

During its recent Client Appreciation Week, the folks at First Community Financial Bank hosted Ducks for Charity. Customers were given the opportunity to pull a duck from a little pond to receive the prize posted on the bottom of the duck. In addition, for every “lucky duck” pulled, one dollar was designated for Project HELP, a nonprofit organization that has serves the community to enhance the lives of children and families with parent mentoring programs.

Established by the Exchange Club of Naperville in 1992, Project HELP is accredited by the National Exchange Club as a Child Abuse Prevention center. Through home-based mentoring and parent education training workshops, Project HELP provides parents with the proper tools, parenting tips, advice, and support necessary to create a nurturing home environment that encourages children to reach their full potential.

Peggy McGuire, Project HELP’s executive director, has dedicated her career to the mission of strengthening families and the communities in which they live. Providing quality services designed to empower parents with the resources necessary to provide for their children’s health and well-being, the Project HELP Board of Directors and staff assist to accomplish its mission.
