On November 1, 2016, at 6:58AM, the Naperville Police Department and the Naperville Fire Department responded to the area of Warrenville Road and Freedom Drive for a traffic crash involving a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported from the scene by Naperville Fire Department paramedics to Edward Hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigation has revealed that the pedestrian was walking westbound on the parkway of Warrenville Road, when a vehicle lost control, left the roadway, and struck her.
The pedestrian that was struck by the vehicle is a 37-year-old female from Joliet. The driver was a 17-year-old female from St. Charles. She was driving a white Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on Warrenville Road.
The investigation is still underway and no citations have been issued at this point.
Due to the nature of the crash, members of the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit specially trained in crash reconstruction responded to the scene to investigate the incident.
