Pending weather or unforeseen circumstances, rehabilitation work on municipal-owned parking lots will begin the week of May 16.
The first round of work will occur at the Paw Paw Lot at Van Buren Avenue and Webster Street, the Van Buren Lot at the southeast corner of Van Buren Avenue and Main Street, the at-grade spaces at the Central Parking Facility on Jefferson Avenue and the Central Park/Court Place lot near Central Park. Work will begin each weekday at 7AM and end by 5PM.
Similar work will be done concurrently to lots at the Electric Service Center, Police Department, Fire Department and Fire Stations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10. Work to be conducted includes patching crack filling, sealcoating and re-striping. No more than half a lot should be rendered inaccessible at any one time and access to the second level of the Van Buren Parking Facility will be maintained throughout but motorists intending to park at any of these lots are encouraged to make alternate plans.
After the downtown lots are complete in the first week of June, work will commence on the commuter parking lots at the Route 59 Station; 95th Street Park-n-Ride; and the Downtown Naperville Station Lots including the Upper Burlington, Kroehler and 4th Avenue lots. In mid-June, work will begin on the Lower Burlington and Parkview lots. Additionally, work will begin on a variety of Park District-owned bike paths.
All rehab work is expected to be complete by the end of September.
