In an effort to get kids reading this summer, the Scholastic Summer Reading Road Trip RV will visit Naperville on May 13, 2016 from 4 to 7PM. MT. Kids and families will have the opportunity to participate in their very own pop-up reading festival, engage in fun reading activities and meet some of their favorite authors and illustrators including: Dav Pilkey, ‘The Adventures of Captain Underpants and Raina Telgemeier, Smile and Sisters. The RVs will visit 25+ U.S. cities nationwide throughout the summer, traveling more than 10,000 miles to spread the message about the importance of summer reading to kids. Denese Neu, author of Chicago by the Pint, will share a creative narrative woven from various chapters of history, her book and miscellaneous anecdotes picked up during her research and work with the craft beer industry.
