Above / Have you ever noticed that most elementary schools in District 204 look the same?  Since the early 1990s, the “cloned schools” have been designed to save taxpayer’s money in architect’s fees and building costs. (PN File Photo)

The following companies have rented space in District 204 schools to offer an after-school educational program for students.

Explore 204

Indian Prairie is launching a new video series that invites you to take a look inside our schools. Each month, Explore 204 will bring you stories that highlight outstanding activities happening throughout the district.

Our first video features an all-girls elementary robotics club. In its first year, the club made it all the way to the VEX World Championship where they competed against teams from 29 countries. You can watch their story at Explore 204.

Thanks to funding from the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation (IPEF), robotics clubs are expanding this year to other schools. The IPEF has set a goal of raising $165,000 to support robotics and other STEM initiatives in District 204. Learn how every $1 donated can become $3 toward that goal thanks to a 2-for-1 Challenge Grant from the Dunham Fund. Visit IPEF for details.

Come Explore 204.

Next Board of Education Meeting
