Update July 12, 2015 / Pietra Wall, a transplant from Italy who now lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, David, received the distinction of “Best in Show” for her imaginative work featuring rich slices from the Earth that come together in a natural celebration of beauty.
Above / Artist Pietra Wall noted that she and her husband, David, have enjoyed meeting art lovers who admired and/or purchased their award-winning art at the NWC Fine Art Fair. In addition, after hours, the couple personally delivered the artwork to folks who bought it and they helped hang it, too.

Original Post, July 11, 2015 / The Naperville Woman’s Club 56th Juried Fine Art Fair is set up from 10AM to 5PM today and Sun., July 12, against the beautiful backdrop of historic Naper Settlement.
Above / Artist Pietra Wall from Salt Lake City visits the Midwest and the NWC Fine Art Fair for the first time with her attractive exhibit of mixed media that she calls “Celebration of Earth” art.
An early morning tour revealed that Illinois’ longest running art fair has welcomed 112 local and national artists to exhibit, demonstrate and sell their original works of art. More than 20 of this year’s entries are here for the first time, according to Art Fair Director Roxanne Lang.
Above / Metal Sculptor Dick Cooley, another first-time exhibitor, says he’s known as “The Spark Plug Guy” for his imaginative artworks that depict all types of occupations and leisure activities. His booth is sure to be a crowd pleaser and conversation starter. Find it across from the Paw Paw House.
Three judges, Joe Eddy Brown, Jan P. Voogd and Terea Parker, will be making the rounds Saturday in order to recognize artists for the best of the show during an awards’ presentation that evening.
Mediums include painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, jewelry, glass, fiber & clothing, textiles, leather accessories, wood, multi-media, batik and more.
Above / Mixed Media Artist Lisa Tolbert, returning for her second year, put finishing touches on her display of mosaics that offer innovative items from picture frames to pitch forks.
Also included in this event is a Petite Picasso Childrens Art Tent, Silent Auction and Empty Bowls Fundraiser.
Live musical entertainment will be provided both days by ‘Patchouli,’ an energizing guitar duo.
Food is available from Belgio’s Catering and the Good Humor Man.
In addition to an eclectic showcase of art, the family-friendly event offers free admission to explore the 19th century history as interpreted inside and outside at Naper Settlement.
Above/ As is tradition, the Weed Ladies of Naperville Heritage Society welcome visitors to the Daniels House to see their latest silk and dried floral arrangements.
