In preparation for the upcoming elections, NCTV17 invited the candidates running for Naperville Mayor, Naperville City Council, Indian Prairie School District 204 Board, and the Naperville Park District Board to sit down for a TV interview.
NCTV17 Executive Director, Liz Spencer, spoke with each candidate for 8-9 minutes about why they are running for office, their qualifications, what issues they feel are important, and how they describe their leadership style. Candidates also had an opportunity to tell the viewers a little more about themselves as people, not just as a candidate.
Starting March 1 you can tune in to Channel 17 in Naperville (Comcast & WOW! subscribers) and Channel 99 (AT&T UVerse) as well as online at www.NCTV17.com and watch these interviews. They will air multiple times throughout the month and be available ‘on-demand’ on the station’s website so you can get to know the candidates who want your vote next month.
On April 7, each voter will be able to select eight at-large City Council representatives in addition to voting for the Mayor. They will also be able to select three board members for Indian Prairie School District 204 and three board members to govern the Naperville Park District. Three incumbents are up for re-election for the Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board. All three are running unopposed.
