Longtime Naperville resident Mark Baier craved that warm tone and decided to build his own amp, and in 1993, the Victoria Amplifier Co. was born.
Baier wanted to create an amp with the exact specifications of a late 50’s Leo Fender tweed amp. The correct capacitors, resistors, transformers, pots, and eyelet boards go into every Victoria amp. Each pine cabinet is crafted in the precise manner of those built in the ‘50s, and covered in lacquered cotton tweed that is still woven today by the original manufacturer. Victoria amplifiers are handcrafted, one at a time. You might be asking yourself, “Who does that anymore?!” Well, Mark Baier does.
Victoria amps are used by legendary artists like Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Bob Dylan, as well as future legends like John Mayer and Joe Bonamassa. The craftsmanship and tone of a Victoria is unsurpassed.
Mark Baier has been a resident of Naperville since 1962. Maureen, co-owner of Victoria, has been a resident since 1956. Victoria amps are crafted right here in Naperville, where Mark and Maureen have cherished growing up and raising their two children, both of whom are graduates of Neuqua Valley.
