Oswald’s is set for ‘Healthy Living Day’

Original Post / Oswald’s Pharmacy will host its first Healthy Living Day on Thurs., June 12, a day-long event featuring a variety of complimentary check-ups beginning at 10AM and running until 6PM.

“We will be celebrating with complimentary health tests, special pricing on medical equipment, free Nova walker tune-ups, free pill boxes and pens and special prizes,” said Bill Anderson, owner of Oswald’s Pharmacy. “We’re hoping to have a great day with all that’s going on, topped off by the HealthMart bus.”

The HealthMart Healthy Living Bus is scheduled from 3-6PM.

In-store health checks, 10AM to 6PM

From 10AM to 2PM, Oswald’s Jobst Hosiery rep will be conducting free Doppler leg vein tests to check leg circulation.

Oswald’s Nova medical rep will be at the store from 12 to 6PM performing free rolling walker tune-ups and also offering a 25 percent discount on a new walker with a trade in from an old one. From 1 to 2PM the medical rep will be giving a free bathroom safety seminar.

Note also that every day of the year that Oswald’s is open, individuals can test their blood pressure for free.

HealthMart Healthy Living Bus opens doors at 3PM  

health mart vehicleThen from 3 to 6PM Oswald’s also will host the HealthMart Healthy Living Bus, welcoming individuals to stop by for a visit.

According to Anderson, the bus is on a national tour stopping in over 20 cities across the country promoting healthy living. The bus will have two licensed technicians who will be administering free blood pressure, total cholesterol, blood glucose hemoglobin A1C, waist circumference and body mass index tests.

“We have a sheet at the pharmacy to sign up for all the testing and walker adjustments. The HealthMart testing is limited to the first 36 individuals who sign up,” said Anderson.

Early sign-ups for services on the HealthMart Healthy Living Bus are encouraged prior to June 12. Individuals can stop by the store for more advance information.
