The Summer Place, a community theater since 1966, will perform an original cabaret written and directed by Cynthia Lauren-Grant.
Music has always been an integral part of the movies, from silent films to the “talkies.” Movie music has become a part of our culture. Musical selections such as “Moon River,” “Come Fly With Me,” “As Time Goes By,” “Rainbow Connection,” “ Count Your Blessings,” and “Good Ship Lollipop,” are some of the movie music that will be performed.
The cabaret will be presented March 7 to 9, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 21 E. Franklin in Naperville beginning at 8PM. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the Summer Place Box Office at (630) 355-7969. Tickets are $15 for adults and seniors and $10 for students and children.
The Cast Includes residents from Naperville and beyond including Dan Baggott-Miller, Lisa Baggott-Miller, Ian Black, Jay Cantrell, Robert Cappetta, Dan Colbert, Matt Colbert, Becky DeDecker, Rachelle Kates, Amelia Kloskowski, Cynthia Lauren-Grant, Anthony Mele, Shynell Owen, Kristin Siewert, Lisa Wukitsch and Steven Zeidler.
The cast will be accompanied by an instrumental ensemble of Joline Bastounes (piano), Art Foley (bass) and Rod Jacobs (drums). It is choreographed by Amelia Kloskowski, Shynell Owen and Kristin Siewert.
