Naperville Garden Club Cup of Cheer House Walk, Holiday Market and Tea – 9AM | $35-$55. The general public, with no ticket, may shop the Holiday Market on Dec. 1 from noon to 4PM.
North Central College’s Harold and Eva White Activities Center – 325 E. Benton Ave. Naperville, IL 60540
Tour four homes decorated for the holidays and visit the Holiday Market to shop and to enjoy tea or coffee in your commemorative teacup and indulge in home-baked cookies. Thursday, November 30 is ‘preview day’ with a limited number of tickets sold to insure no waiting in line. Tickets are $55. Friday, December 1 tickets are $35. Thursday and Friday tickets are available at www.napervillegardenclub.org, Nona Jo’s (410 W. Fifth Ave.), and both Oxford Bank locations (1260 Book Road and Rt. 59 and 83rd St.) Friday tickets are available at Naperville Bank and Trust (1205 S. Christmas Cheer Luncheon and Cookie Sale – 11:30AM | $10

Christmas Cheer Luncheon and Cookie Sale hosted by the Wesley United Methodist Women. The luncheon menu includes hot turkey almondine; cranberry salad; pasta salad and cookies. The luncheon tickets are $10. Cookies may be purchased in 1/2 pound ($5) or one pound ($10) assortments. You may select your own assortment or choose pre-selected boxes. It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Play – 7PM | $5-$10. $5 Students and Senior $10 Adults

This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers his life one fateful Christmas Eve. With help from a lovable angel, George has a change of heart and understands the true spirit of the holidays. December 1 & 2 at 7PM and December 3 at 4PM. On Saturday, December 2, the Guild of St. Patricks Residence will host its annual Christmas Cookie Walk & Boutique from 9AM to 11AM. You may purchase cookies pre-packaged or stroll among the tables to select your own holiday assortment. Back by popular demand will be a LIMITED SUPPLY of the ever-favorite English toffee made by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Patricks. Cookies and Toffee will be sold by the weight. We are looking for cookie bakers to share your favorite holiday cookies with us.

Organized by the Naperville Municipal Band and led by Conductor Ron Keller, a big brass band of tubas, euphoniums and Sousaphones will fill the air with holiday tunes, Christmas carols and other seasonal favorites. The sound of music highlights the history of this wonderful Merry Tuba Christmas tradition. (Afterward, the musicians will head to the Food Court at the Fox Valley Mall for a repeat performance of the upbeat concert at 12:30PM.)

Then take note! The annual Naperville Municipal Band Holiday Concert is set for 3PM Sun., Dec. 12, on stage at the Wentz Concert Hall. www.napervilleband.org.

Throwback Family Photos at Oswald’s / Noon-2PM  | FREE

Little Friends Parade of Lights! – 7PM

The Little Friends Parade of Lights will take place on Saturday, December 2. This popular annual holiday parade and tradition is brought to you by Little Friends in partnership with the Downtown Naperville Alliance. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to celebrate the Season. Bundle up and enjoy an evening of festivities, brightly lit floats and musical entertainment. The Parade will step off from Jackson Avenue, at Mill Street, heading east to Main Street, ending at Main Street and Van Buren Avenue. The parade will travel thru the heart of downtown under the beautiful twinkling lights. Parade viewing will be sparkling anywhere along the parade route! (The parade main stage will be at Jackson and Webster).

A Swingin’ Christmas – 7:30PM | $20-$25. $20 Student/Senior

The Naperville Chorus, Jeordano Martinez, Music Director presents: A Swingin Christmas With the Pete Ellman Big Band. All your holiday favorites performed with a jazz motif. This is a concert sure to please with many of your favorite Holiday classics such as White Christmas, Let It Snow, and A Christmas Medley all performed by the Naperville Chorus and accompanied by Pete Ellmans Big Band. Pete Ellmans Big Band was formed in 2009 and is well known throughout the Western Suburbs. The Naperville Chorus is partnering with Toys for Tots for this event, so help to make this a very special holiday for someone in need by bringing a new, unwrapped gift to the concert and there will be a receptacle to place your toy on the way in. Start your holidays on a musical note with the Naperville Mens Glee Club at their Christmas Presence Concert at 3PM on Sunday, December 3 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville. The annual Holiday songfest will include Advent selections, traditional Christmas tunes with sing-along opportunities, and a chance for children to chip in with rhythm instruments and unbounded enthusiasm. They’ll be featuring Tim Sleep, Knox Organist, and soloist Mary Elliott for an afternoon of sublime entertainment to kick off the season in style.
