Naperville Responds turns over reigns to new leadership

-

During the annual meeting of Naperville Responds For Veterans in December, Jack Persin turned over his leadership to lifelong Naperville resident Dan Jurjovec.

Dan Jurjovec

Jurjovec attended Ss. Peter and Paul, Naperville North and is a University of Illinois alum.

Today he is a principal at Lakewest Custom Homes in Naperville. He also serves as an executive committee member on the board of directors at Northern Illinois Home Builders Association.

A father of four, Jurjovec is an active sponsor and volunteer St. Raphael Football, Naperville Little League and Edward Hospital Share Group’s Walk to Remember.

He also serves on the Rob Koranda Scholarship selection committee member at Naperville North High School.
Prior to assuming the role of president, he served as a member of the NRFV Board and construction committee in 2014 and 2015, and VP in 2016.

“Our military and its Veterans provide the freedom and opportunity we have been given each and every day,” said Jurjovec. “Veterans epitomize the spirit of placing the needs of others above their own. NRFV gives back in the most meaningful way by assisting Veterans in need with housing improvements and donations. We are incredibly thankful for the continued support of our friends and community members in assisting Veterans’ housing needs.”

PN Ombudsman
An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
