The Naperville Noon Lions Club annual summer raffle officially kicked off in June with raffle tickets available from Lion’s Club members and at various sites around Naperville.

Today Bob Hull provided an update as the end of the summer raffle draws near.

“The last day to purchase raffle tickets will be Sunday, Sept. 4,” said Hull. “We need Monday to get all of the tickets mixed up and processed for drawing on Tuesday.”

Proceeds from the raffle go to support the Club’s Social Service Program which provides eye examinations, eye glasses and hearing screenings to children and adults who cannot otherwise afford this type of service.

During the last year the Club provided services to approximately 350 individuals funded by more than $100,000. A portion of the funds raised are used to support the Lions Club testing site at the Anne Reid Early Learning Center in Naperville to provide on-site pre-school eye exams for children entering kindergarten.

Raffle ticket prices are $10 each, 3 for $25, 7 for $50 and 15 for $100.

“Raffle tickets can be purchased at U.S. Bank located at Washington and Jefferson in downtown Naperville this Saturday (Aug. 27, 2016) from 9AM till 1PM,” said Hull.  “Also at Ace Hardware Located on Washington Street just north of Ogden Ave.,  9AM till 4PM this Saturday and until 1PM on Sunday.   Tickets can also be purchased at Ace Hardware from 9AM till 4PM on Saturday, Sept. 3.”

Drawing September 6, 2016

The drawing will take place on September 6, 2016, at the Club’s weekly luncheon meeting.

Grand prize winner will receive $5,000. The first place winner will receive $2,000. There also will be one $1,000 prize, one $500 prize, two $100 prizes and four $50 prizes. Only 5,000 tickets will be sold so the chance of winning are high, Hull said.

“The grand prize winner will be determined by random drawing,” Hull added. “We have changed the place for the drawing of the winners from the Last Fling in downtown Naperville to one of our luncheon meetings.”
