Casey’s Fires Up the Grill  – 11AM-2PM | Specials start at $5

Today’s grilling will be repeated every Saturday and Sunday with lunchtime favorites until the fall season ends. Picnic tables provide seating under cover.  Casey’s also has a variety of specialty cakes for special occasions in its bakery. Charlotte and Gwenyth Gray Foundation Benefit – 6:30PM | $150

Four-year-old Charlotte and two-year-old Gwenyth Gray were recently diagnosed with Batten disease. The Foundation was established to fund important medical research that hopefully will lead to a cure for this terrible disease. The Oct. 3 benefit, with celebrity hosts Giuliana and Bill Rancic, features a cocktail reception, dinner, entertainment and live auction, It will be held at the Embassy Suites Naperville, 1813 Abriter Court.  Last-minute RSVP by email at napercurebatten@gmail.com or by calling (630) 369-9070.  Tickets are $150 and may be purchased via email, depending on availability.  For more info visit www.curebatten.org.

German Language Church Service – 11:30AM | Free
St. John United Church of Christ – 1190 Olesen Dr. Naperville, IL 60540
Church services in the German language will be held at St. John United Church of Christ at 11:30 AM on Sunday, October 4. The service will be led by Pastor Dr. Egon Gerdes, and all are welcome to attend. St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Drive. German services are held on the fist Sunday of every month and will continue on November 1 and December 6. For more information, call (630) 355-5208.
