Naperville Lion receives George Lazansky Distinguished Service Award

-

lions clubNaperville Noon Lions Club member Paul Rewerts recently was presented with the George Lazansky Distinguished Service Award at the Lions District 1-J annual convention in Lisle.

This prestigious award was named to remember Lion George Lazansky who served as District 1-J’s first governor in 1951 and is presented to only a handful of Lions annually.

According to publicity chairman, Bob Hull, nominees of this award are Lion members who have excelled not only in their contribution to their club and to the community, but also have served or demonstrated Lionism at the District or higher level or have performed outstanding humanitarian achievements.

“This is one of the most prestigious awards a Lion member can receive,” said Hull. “We are very proud of Lion Paul.

Hull added that Rewerts said he is honored to receive this award and is proud of all the members of the Naperville Noon Lions for the work they do in support of Club activities and the community.
