Rotary Sunrise St. Paddy’s Day 5K Run/Walk – 8AM | $25-$40
Downtown Naperville – Main St. Naperville, IL 60540
The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise, in cooperation with West Suburban Irish, is hosting a 5K Race, Run, or Walk on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 8:00AM. Participation in this event is a great way to join into the St. Paddy’s Day Spirit. Proceeds from this event will be used to provide health related services to those in need. This event is for racers, runner, and walkers. The course is a measured 5K race, and professional timing services (e.g., chip time) will be used to ensure race time accuracy. A disposable timing chip is attached to each numbered race number. Those registering prior to the race will receive a Technical Running Shirt in either men’s or women’s sizes. Registration is available to 3000 entrants. The Start and end for the 5K will be at Jackson and West Street near Centennial Beach in Naperville. www.stpaddysday5k.org.

Waubonsie Valley High School Craft Fair – 9AM | $2
Waubonsie Valley High School – 2590 Ogden Avenue Aurora, IL 60504
The 10th Annual Waubonsie Valley High School Band Boosters Craft Fair and Vendor Showcase is a juried show with over 75 local artists, crafters, and vendors showcasing their talents. There will be a Concessions Area as well as a Bake Sale and a Raffle. This event is entirely non-profit with all proceeds going toward the Waubonsie Valley High School Band Programs. Admission is only $2 for Adults, $1 for Students, and Children under 5 are Free! There is ample Free Parking at the event located at Waubonsie Valley High School, 2590 Ogden Avenue (Northwest Corner of Ogden and Eola Avenues), Aurora.

Naperville St. Patrick’s Day Parade – 10AM | Free
Downtown Naperville – Main St. Naperville, IL 60540
Enjoy the popular St. Patrick’s Day Parade, hosted by the West Suburban Irish, starting at 10am. The parade launches from Naperville North High School, heads south on Mill street through the heart of Downtown Naperville. For parade details, visit www.wsirish.org.

Organizers of the popular St. Patrick’s Day Parade have called it a display “of the First Amendment,” since the parade falls so close before spring elections. Many of the candidates will add local color to the festivities Saturday morning. Meanwhile, get to know all the candidates running in the Consolidated Election on Tues., April 7, a historic election when all nine seats, including Mayor, on the Naperville City Council are open. Watch for the signs of the times in the West Suburban Irish St. Patrick’s Parade, then look for the photos on this website on Sunday!

Learn the time-honored method of collecting sap the old-fashioned way, see a maple tree tapping demonstration, participate in hands-on activities and try a tasty maple treat. Get to Know the Candidates in the 2015 Consolidated Election – Now through 6PM, April 7 |
Naperville, Illinois
Be prepared to celebrate the changing of some seats on local governing bodies. Become familiar with all the candidates running in the Consolidated Election on Tues., April 7, a historic election when all nine seats, including Mayor, on the Naperville City Council are open. Get to know candidates running to serve on local school boards, Naperville Park District Board of Commissioners and College of DuPage Board of Trustees.
