Super Hero Camp, slated for June 22-26, is designed for Individuals with special needs and disabilities. Registration is now open via Artful IMPACT! , in partnership with Little Mountain Community Theatre.
Super Hero Camp provides youth, teens, and young adults with physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, and autism the opportunity to experience the hands on “magic” of being a Super Hero. Campers will rotate through workshops designed to feature a specific “super power” or “trait” of a Super Hero.
Workshops will be taught by local industry professionals in their field and assisted by high school and college theatre students and adults. No matter what scene the camper is working on, every camper always will be the HERO!
“This is a one of a kind, unique experience,” said Heather Hutchison, Director of Super Hero Camp. “Absolute fun that will push kids out of their comfort zone all the while meeting new people, experiencing something together and connecting worlds that would never necessarily meet.”
Camp hosts are now enrolling students for its second annual Super Hero Camp for youth, teens and young adults with special needs. The camp will be held at The Performing Arts Center of Lemont High School in Lemont.
