Comedy hypnotist, ‘Chrisjones,’ will be performing at North Central College Friday night. He is one of the country’s youngest professional hypnotist and this his 3rd appearance at North Central in 3 years. The show combines magic, hip hop music and hypnosis to create an experience catered to college and university students. Chrisjones himself spent 7 years living and working at colleges before beginning his tour of colleges across the US. To date, he has performed in all 50 states, Cananda and Central America. History Speaks: Jane Austen and Her Women – 4PM | $7

Jane Austen, portrayed by Leslie Goddard, has time-travelled to today and agreed to answer the most common question about her life: what did she really think about marriage? While speaking, Austen will refer back to the women in her novels, bringing them to life in monologues from her books as they discuss romance, choice of a spouse and the position of women. The performance commemorates the 200th anniversaries of ‘Pride and Prejudice,’ ‘Mansfield Park’ and ‘Emma.’ Tickets at the door are $7 adults, $6 youth 4-12 and students.
