Water Street developers add two dining establishments to the mix

-

Visitors to the new Water Street District in Downtown Naperville will discover two unique dining experiences when the district opens by Fall, 2015. Marquette Real Estate Investments has announced the addition of Bien Trucha, a popular Mexican small-plate restaurant based in Geneva,  as well as Blue Sushi Sake Grill, a sophisticated concept headquartered in Omaha with locations in Denver and Fort Worth.

According to Marquette President Nick Ryan, the two restaurants along with the Hotel Indigo Naperville on the Riverwalk will enhance downtown’s reputation “as one of the most dynamic lifestyle centers in the nation.”

“We are excited to add to everything else that is already going on in downtown,” said Ryan. “With the development of Main Street Promenade East, the new tenants in Main Place and the Bank of America strip on Washington and Van Buren, the energy and variety in Downtown will be truly amazing. These high quality facets of downtown only make it more attractive to other businesses, shoppers, diners and prospective homeowners.”

Rodrigo Cano of Bien Trucha describes his restaurant as “something that nobody has done before.  A lot of people already know us, but besides what they know we will bring some surprises and new experiences to Naperville.”

The Geneva location offers a wide variety of handmade tacos, casualitas, homemade salsas, guacamoles and seviches of the day as well as a variety of margaritas and saneritas, served in an intimate, high energy room.

“We believe that Bien Trucha will fit perfectly at Water Street because we have a lot of followers from Naperville,” stated Cano. “They appreciate the nightlife- and our amazing beverage program paired with some delicious, casual, and fun food will be the perfect combo for Downtown Naperville.”

Blue Sushi Sake Grill will bring a fresh take on the traditional sushi dining experience. Group diners will savor a menu designed to be enjoyed tapas style, offering traditional and creative sushi paired with Asian-inspired starters, entrees and desserts. Sake Bombers Lounge offers a stimulating escape, offering a drink menu of house-infused vodkas, craft cocktails, martinis and a large selection of premium cold sake

“We’ve been looking to expand our concept to the Chicago area for several years,” noted Megan Longo, Director of Marketing for Flagship Restaurant Group, in the news release.”We toured more than 20 potential locations in the greater Chicago area, looking for the right fit. The Naperville community impressed us. The Riverwalk and the Water Street District in Downtown Naperville have certain qualities that cannot be duplicated. Furthermore, Naperville’s affluent, educated and well-traveled demographic is the perfect audience for our concept. Naperville has everything we are looking for.”

The new development also will include a 500+-space public/private parking facility adjacent to the hotel, providing parking for the Water Street District and additional downtown visitor parking.
