Things to do around Naperville this weekend

Order Fresh Ho-Ka Turkeys! (pronounced okay).  Fresh, not frozen, local turkeys raised by Kauffman Turkey Farms in Waterman, Illinois – one of the last independent family-run turkey farms in the midwest. Two places to order them in Naperville:

Kreger’s Brat and Sausage Haus is located at 6th & Ellsworth 1 Block North of Historic 5th Ave. Station. (630) 355-4418.

Casey’s Foods is located in Naperville Plaza at Washington and Gartner. (630) 369-1686. Find everything you need for your traditional Thanksgiving feast at Casey’s.

Friday

Naperville will collect donations for folks in Washington, Illinois, in aftermath of tornadoes / The City of Naperville will host a collection for donations of toiletries, nonperishable items, gift cards, gas cards, etc., for delivery to Washington, Illinois. New and clean gently-used outerwear for all ages also is welcome. Drop off items in the lobby at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 South Eagle St., during regular business hours. Look for marked boxes to collect items.

Live Music at CityGate Grille / 8:30 – 11:30PM / Jive away select weekend evenings with live music at CityGate Grille. Paul Abella Trio will be performing. Saturday

Holiday Fashion Show & Brunch at Sullivan’s / 10AM / Enjoy an informal magical winter fashion show and brunch featuring the holiday/winter fashions of various downtown ladies apparel stores. Gifts & Prizes for attendees, too. Limited Seating. The Holiday Fashion Show will be held at Sullivan’s Steakhouse, 244 Main Street. Call (630) 305-0230 for reservations. Sullivan’s is located right across the street from the fashionable “Dinah Round” Gingerbread Man sculpture!

NaperBridge Grand Opening / 1 – 5PM / NaperBridge is a safe place for Naperville teens to belong, create, perform, play and be empowered in a values-driven environment. From 1 to 5PM on Saturday, November 23, come celebrate the opening of their new space right in the heart of downtown Naperville at 231 S. Annual Turkey Raffle at the VFW / 6PM  / Fun begins at  American Legion-Judd Kendall VFW Post, located at 908 W. Jackson! Meet new friends, get a bite to eat and to enjoy some adult beverages.  Plenty of turkeys will be raffled along with Prime Rib, Hams, etc.  Other raffles and auctions invite participation; plus, some delicious homemade desserts available at the Bake Sale. Organizers welcome all to come with cash to enjoy a good time and a great fundraiser for the Post.

KC and the Sunshine Band Concert / 8PM / Grammy Award-winning R&B and funk group KC and the Sunshine Band will perform at 8PM Saturday, Nov. 23, in North Central College’s Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E.
