Drop-off boxes available at the Naperville Municipal Center
The City of Naperville is now accepting donations to help victims affected by the November 17, tornadoes that impacted central Illinois. Many City employees are originally from this area of the state or have family located close to the area of devastation. Collection boxes are now available at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St., for any members of the public who wish to donate to this cause. The boxes are located at the City Clerk’s office on the first floor of the building as well as the City Manager’s office on the second floor.
The deadline for donation is Wednesday, November 27 as the items will be transported to Washington on Friday, November 29 following the Thanksgiving holiday. Items being accepted include:
- Non-perishable foods (canned and boxed foods, baby formula, etc.)
- Hygiene products (toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorants, etc.)
- Cases of water
- Clean, gently used clothing (socks, T-shirts, sweatshirts, coats, etc.)
