Sales Focus – Use humor to heat up your sales

-

Did you hear the one about…?

Tell a joke once in a while. One that makes you laugh out loud. Sometimes business can be stressful and overwhelming; even more so with this relentless virus throwing a wrench in our updated plans. Have a thought, or story or joke available that puts a smile on your face to keep things in perspective.

Here are two dozen of my favorites:

  • I set out to lose 10 pounds this month; only 15 to go.
  • What if the Hokey Pokey IS what it’s all about?
  • What did the cowboy say to the artist? Draw.
  • What does a panda cook with? A pan… duh!
  • They are not making yardsticks any longer.
  • Ever stop to think and forget to start again?
  • 47.1% of statistics are made up on the spot.
  • I spilled spot remover on my dog; now he’s gone.
  • I’m reading a book on antigravity and can’t put it down.
  • Ever wonder why your nose runs and your feet smell?
  • What sound does a Witch’s car make? Broom… Broom.
  • What do you call a hippy’s wife? Mississippi.
  • A steak pun is a rare medium done well.
  • A friend didn’t pay his exorcist; he was repossessed!
  • A cheese factory blew up in France. Da Brie is everywhere.
  • Always give 100%… unless you are giving blood.
  • Why do cows have bells? Their horns don’t work.
  • Money talks. Mine says, “I’m leaving.”
  • I’m breeding racing deer to make a quick buck.
  • Nothing tops a plain pizza.
  • Roses are red. Violets are blue. Poems are hard. Bacon.
  • What do you give a seasick elephant? Lots of room.
  • Alligators can grow up to 20 feet. But most grow four.
  • Finally joined a gym. I run like the winded.
  • Do dogs see police dogs and think, “Oh no, it’s the cops?”

There is an old saying in sales, “If you can make them laugh, you can make them buy.”

Humor, in moderation throughout the selling process will Heat Up Your Sales!
