Above / Fry Family YMCA is located at 2120 W. 95th Street. The sculpture “Y.M.C.A.” on the Century Walk tour marks the entrance to the facility on Naperville’s south side.
Thanks to a significant gift to the Y, the Fry Family YMCA on 95th Street, is just a few days away from the start of a renovation of the mens’ and womens’ locker rooms.
The locker room renovation will begin Mon., March 28, 2022, with plans for late June completion.
“While we are excited to start on this much-needed facilities improvement for the Fry Family YMCA, it does not come without a few challenges,” noted Stephanie Kuzelis, Executive Director, Fry Family YMCA and Indian Boundary YMCA.
According to Kuzelis, the mens’ and womens’ locker rooms, including whirlpool and sauna amenities, will be closed and under construction throughout the duration of the project.
“During this time, our family locker room will be used as a gender-inclusive locker room for all Y members to use. Please consider alternative accommodations for changing, showering, and using amenities during the locker room renovation,” Kuzelis added.
“The ongoing improvements to the Fry Family YMCA are a reflection of our commitment to our community and help ensure we can continue to meet the needs of our members. Renderings of the family locker room will soon be available in the lobby for you to see the future of the Fry Family YMCA,” she said.
The pool and gymnasium will remain open and most programs will continue at the Fry Family YMCA during the locker room renovation.
“We appreciate our members’ support, understanding and patience, and for being part of our Fry Family YMCA community,” said Kuzelis.
