North Central College notes cancellations of fine and performing arts for spring semester

Above / With numerous venues for fine and performing arts on the campus of North Central College, including Wentz Concert Hall, events scheduled for the remainder of the spring semester have been canceled or rescheduled for the safety and well-being of everyone. Thanks for continued interest and support of the arts. 

In response to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, all North Central College Fine & Performing Arts events for the remainder of the spring semester have been canceled or rescheduled. North Central College Fine & Performing Arts will continue to update patrons regarding additional events.  The College’s goal is to prioritize the safety and well-being of the entire campus community, patrons, and guests.

At this time, the following events have been canceled:

  • March 20-22, 27-29: “Antigone”
  • March 21: DuPage Symphony Orchestra “Gateway to Romance”
  • March 25: Chamber Singers “Metamorphosis” Concert
  • March 28: “Chords for Kids” A Concert for Children with Autism
  • March 29: Chicago’s 3rd Annual NF Hope Concert – A Benefit for Neurogibromatosis
  • March 30: Three Story Sandbox – An Evening of Freely Improvised Music
  • April 1: Women’s Chorale and Concert Choir “Graduation Finale!” Concert
  • April 4: Theatreworks USA’s “Rosie Revere, Engineer”
  • April 7: The Spring Great Evening of Jazz
  • April 8: Department of Bands Spring Concert
  • April 17: An Evening with Jazz Trombonist Tim Coffman
  • April 17-19, 24-26: “Ordinary Days”
  • April 21: Cardinal Chorus and Chamber Orchestra Spring Concert
  • April 25: Naperville Chorus presents “War and Peace”
  • May 9: Chicago Sinfonietta “Fusion + Fuego: An Intersection of Jazz and Latin Rhythms”

At this time, the following events and exhibits have been rescheduled:

  • March 20-May 24: “Art and Design Faculty Showcase” exhibit in the Schoenherr Gallery will be rescheduled for a date to be announced.
  • April 5: Marianne Murphy Orland: “From Rags to Rhinestones: The Life and Music of Dolly Parton” has been rescheduled to Sunday, Sept. 27.
  • April 18: The Four C Notes has been rescheduled to Saturday, Sept. 26.
  • May 1: Vintage Trouble will be rescheduled for a date to be announced.
  • May 17: Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael “re-Imagine The Beatles” has been rescheduled to Sunday, Nov. 22
