NPD report # 2016-008839
NAPERVILLE CRIME STOPPERS are offering up to a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of person(s) responsible for a theft.
The Naperville Police Department is attempting to identify a subject who entered the Oberweis/That Burger Joint establishment located at 2879 95th St. on Friday, August 5, 2016.
He proceeded to place an order at the Oberweis counter and pay with a $100 bill. As the transaction was taking place, the subject asked for the bill back to attempt to pay with exact change.
However, he only provided minimal coin USC as payment and insisted on the change back as if he had still paid with the $100 bill. Once confronted with this, he left the counter.
The subject then went to the other side of the establishment where he again attempted the above actions and was successful this time taking $92; having only provided minimal coin USC as payment.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic with a thick accent, 30-35 years old, 5’08”-5’09” and 160-180 lbs.
If anyone witnessed this incident or has any information about it or the suspect involved, they are asked to call CRIME STOPPERS at (630) 420-6006.
Your information is important to Crime Stoppers and all callers may remain anonymous.
