The 14th annual KidsMatter Youth Volunteer Fair will connect enthusiastic students with local nonprofit organizations from 5:30 to 7:30PM on Tues., October 11. The Volunteer Fair for students grades 6 through 12 will be held at the Naperville Municipal Center, located at 400 S. Eagle St. Â Follow signs to the lower level meeting rooms.
Publicizing opportunities to “grow together and serve together,” KidsMatter again will host local nonprofit agencies and organizations on hand to showcase their volunteer and advocacy opportunities, enabling students to find service venues that match their interests, major, career goals and schedules.
This free Volunteer Fair is open to all students from area middle and high schools, and is an opportunity for youth groups from faith communities, scout troops, and other youth organizations to choose their service projects.
More than 25 nonprofit agencies that need youth volunteers to help deliver their services will be participating in this year’s Fair.  Locally-based nonprofit businesses among the long list of presenters will include The American Cancer Society, DuPage Children’s Museum, Giving DuPage, Sharing Connections, the Morton Arboretum, GiGi’s Playhouse, DuPagePads, Friends of Equine Therapy, Northern Illinois Foodbank, 360 Youth Services, Vivace Music, Naperville Public Library, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation, Feed My Starving Children, Three Fires Council Boy Scouts of America, Blessings in a Backpack, The Alive Center, The Merry Tutor, the Naperville Park District and Wellness House.
Every participating organization will have representatives on hand to discuss the exciting opportunities they have for both students and families to positively impact the lives of other people.
