The Homeowners Confederation opened its fall series of regularly monthly meetings on September 20. It was great to see several new faces as we discussed matters of importance both to our community and to volunteers managing their neighborhood associations. There was plenty of time for questions and interaction (along with coffee and donuts courtesy of our meeting sponsor, Baum Property Management) and I think it was a valuable use of two hours on a Saturday morning.
We will be back at it on October 18 when our focus will be on dealing with homes that may not meet community standards for appearance and upkeep. For those of us who take pride in our homes, there is a great deal of frustration when neighborhood curb appeal and quality of life is lessened by those who may not share our passions for property upkeep and being good neighbors.
Looking ahead to future meetings, we will talk about development, education, government, and more. We are neighbors helping neighbors, providing an opportunity to learn, interact, and work together to help make Naperville the best place it can be.
The Confederation prides itself on fact-based analysis and engaging speakers who provide insights that aid in understanding issues and potential intended and non-intended consequences. We are rabidly non-partisan with a mission to, as neighbors helping neighbors, generate a positive influence on the community.
