360 Youth Services will host annual benefit dinner and auction Nov. 1

-

This autumn, the event planning folks at 360 Youth Services have been saying, “We’re Rolling Out the Red Carpet Because of YOU!” Organizers are planning the annual benefit auction dinner slated to begin at 6PM Fri., Nov 1, at the Chicago Marriott-Naperville and the community is invited.

Recognizing that the pressures on today’s youth throughout the nation are greater than any other previous generation, certainly the kids living in DuPage County are no exception, organizers said.  360 Youth Services is working hard to address issues of substance abuse prevention, education, and counseling for kids struggling with issues like anxiety, depression and bullying.

“Each year over 6,000 kids directly benefit from the work of 360 Youth Services and thousands more have been positively impacted their drug and alcohol prevention programs. These kids are counting on us to help, and that’s why we are having this fundraiser,” said event Chair Sue Miranda. “The auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we are hoping to raise over $150,000.”

The evening will include dinner and a silent auction followed by a live auction with Auctioneer Bart Darfler. Dave Savini from CBS2 Chicago will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

Miranda and her committee have been planning the event for months and have acquired attractive items for the auction including a very special dessert to be served at the table of the winning bidder that includes two bottles of Dom Perignon.

Other auction items are a suite for 12 at one of this season’s Blackhawks game, dinner for 8 in your home prepared by Chef Terrell Cole of Dark Horse Pastries, Golf at Rich Harvest with Chicago Bear Hall of Famer Dan Hampton, and a condo in Hawaii for a week that sleeps 8.

Tickets are $150 per person and sponsorships are still available. For more information about the event, contact 360 Youth Services at (630) 961-2992, Ext. 234, or visit www.360youthservices.org to see the most updated list of auction items available.
