It’s autumn. And the natural beauty of the Naperville Riverwalk changes daily without the need for creative and innovative exhibits by world-renown artists to help enhance the winding brick path to attract visitors.
It’s also time for the Naperville Art League to begin accepting applications for the 29th Annual Riverwalk Fine Art Fair, one of the top-rated outdoor art fairs in the nation, slated for Sept. 20-21, 2014.
Artists are invited to apply to the juried art exhibition and sale, held annually along the award-winning Naperville Riverwalk and downtown city streets. Each year, the two-day art fair attracts an estimated 76,000 art appreciators to the Riverwalk, considered to be one of the most beautifully maintained linear parks in the Midwest.
A winding brick pathway, nestled amid the plants, trees, fountains and covered bridges serves as an appropriate natural setting for the fair.
The Riverwalk Fine Art Fair is set in the center of a sophisticated, art-conscious community. The show is heavily promoted through newspaper features, billboards, posters, and paid advertising. Thousands of postcards are sent to previous and potential buyers. Visitors travel from far and near to enjoy the splendor this outstanding display of the finest in visual arts.

Eligibility
Participation in the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair is open to artists working in painting (acrylic, oil, water media), drawing, sculpture, fiber, graphics, mixed media, jewelry, photography, pottery, metalwork, glass, wood, digital art and enamel. The highest standards for both artist and the viewing public are maintained and an “originals only” policy is strictly enforced.
2014 Riverwalk Fine Art Fair
The Riverwalk Fine Art Fair is annually on the third weekend of September. The next show is scheduled from 10AM to 5PM for September 20 and 21, 2014 and open to the public on both days. Optional setup will be available on Fri., Sept. 19 from noon to dark.
