A celebration of Wine Week kicked off Sunday at CityGate Centre. The grand finale will wrap up outdoors on the spacious lawn during the annual Naperville Wine Festival this weekend 4-10PM Fri., Aug. 23 and and 2-8PM Sat., Aug. 24.
SugarToad
For starters, SugarToad at the Hotel Arista began offering a number of wine specials and other surprises that will continue all this week, including a “special old-world 3-course Mediterranean menu every night.”
Zorba’s
At Zorba’s, the lovely lounge right inside the doors of the Hotel Arista, adjoining SugarToad, enjoy a complimentary (yes, free!) cheese plate with the purchase of a bottle of wine, any day of the week, all week long.
CityGate Grille
At 6PM Thurs., Aug. 22, CityGate Grille, located in the Calamos Investments building, will host a Wine Charity Auction. Join friends and wine lovers for a silent auction of wines donated from the cellars of local collectors. The money raised from each wine bottle will go directly to a local charity, chosen by the wine bottle donor. To donate a bottle to the auction, simply call (630) 718-1010 and ask for a manager.

During the Wine Charity Auction, appetizers will be available in the bar along with a cash bar. Silent Auction will close at 8:30 PM.
All week long, CityGate Grille will be celebrating Wine Week in anticipation of the Naperville Wine Festival later in the week.
Also, CityGate Grille will offer $20 Wine Flights. Guests can select any three wines by the glass, paired with a Charcuterie plate for $20.
Saturday night! And then after the Wine Festival closes its gates, there’s the Dance Party at CityGate Grille beginning at 8:30PM on Sat., Aug. 24.
Lavazza
Lavazza, a comfortable coffee shop with a patio under the red awning, is another place to celebrate Wine Week. Ask to see the special cheese board—an array of delicious crackers, fruit and cheeses— that compliments $5 glasses or $20 bottles of wine.
Tap In Pub & Carvery
Guests who visit the Tap In Pub & Carvery, CityGate Centre’s newest restaurant option, also will find wine specials this week.
Consider the weeklong special, “The Par Three,” $10 Wine Flights featuring Jack Nicklaus Cabernet Sauvignon, Ernie Els Merlot, and David Frost Shiraz.
