The Art of Connecting – July on stage

-

Ribfest is coming! Who wouldn’t want to eat ribs, drink beer, celebrate the 4th of July, and sing along to awesome acts like Styx, Lynard Skynard, Rick Springfield? The event is July 3-7 and ticket prices are $15 at the gate and $12 if you buy them early online. Get to it!

haselhorstI will be at Ribfest for sure. But I cannot miss my shows around town. The Naperville Municipal Band will be performing a series of concerts at 7PM, July 4th and 7:30PM on July 11, 18, and 25 in Central Park. It’s free! Every concert will have its own theme, so bring a picnic and listen up!

Another concert that helps out a terrific cause is Rockin’ for the Troops concert at Cantigny Park in Wheaton. The 8th annual concert presented by Operation Support Our Troops-American is slated for 2-10PM Sat., July 20. Country singer Ronnie Dunn of Brooks and Dunn, will headline on stage along with The Voices, the new Kimo Williams All Veteran Band and ARRA. Tickets are $25. For more information on tickets, go to www.osotamerica.org.

The last, but certainly not least event I’m going to mention is the inaugural Naperville Ale Fest. It will take place from 12-4PM, Sat., July 20. Located at Naper Settlement, with Downtown Naperville as a backdrop, it is the perfect way to experience craft beer. The festival will feature more than 180 unique beers from craft breweries around the country. I know people will be singing and dancing at the end of this one! For information or to purchase tickets, visit www.napervillealefest.com.

With so much more going on during the summer, one can never be bored. Go out and enjoy these diverse events. Even find another that suits you. Whatever it is. Have fun and celebrate safely!
