-

The Naperville Crime Stoppers are offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or parties responsible for  “The Simpons” graffiti in downtown Naperville.

One of the latest graffiti incidents involve the words “Skinner stinks,” a reference to Principal Skinner in the popular television series, just east of the Main St. bridge beneath the old Rosebud location on the DuPage River. Bart Simpson’s iconic yellow skin, blue shorts and shoes appear galloping just west of the reference adjacent to the bridge.

During the month of June The Naperville Police Department has taken numerous police reports for graffiti damage, with the bulk of the damage occurring in the downtown area though similar incidents at other locations were reported as well. The graffiti/damage seems to center around the animated television show “The Simpson’s” and has appeared on concrete walls of businesses, electrical boxes and garbage dumpsters. The art work is extensive and time consuming and the ability to have it removed is very costly. If anyone witnessed this incident or has any information about it or the suspect involved, they are asked to call the Naperville Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006.

Information is important to the Naperville Crime Stoppers and all callers may remain anonymous.  For more info, visit www.napervillecrimestoppers.com.

An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
