Holiday tree collection will take place in January

-

The City of Naperville reminds residents that live holiday trees will be collected on each resident’s normal garbage collection day during the weeks of January 7 and January 14, 2013. Trees must be free of all ornaments, tinsel, lights, stands, plastic or bagging material.

Discard holiday lights

As a reminder, residents may discard holiday lights that no longer work at the Public Works Service Center (PWSC) building, 180 Fort Hill Drive, or the Recycling Drop-Off Center, located just northwest of the PWSC.

The drop-off center’s normal hours of operation are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8AM  to 4PM. This program is provided free of charge to the City by Elgin Recycling.

Accepted lights include mini-lights (Italian lights), C7, C9, rope, LED and extension cords. All colors and lengths will be accepted through April 1, 2013.
