After spending nine years as Community Relations Coordinator at Indian Prairie School District 204, Jason Altenbern was ready for his next chapter in helping kids in our community.
Throughout his time at the District, Jason spearheaded numerous projects to help families in need including the Computer Redeployment Project that supplied more than 1,300 sets of used computers to low-income families. He started a winter coat and boot drive that evolved into a district-wide partnership, providing coats, boots and winter accessories to more than 7,400 students in need over an eight-year period.
And as staff liaison with the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation, he raised funds and awareness for STEM education, student health initiatives, and support for low-income students. He also created a monthly recognition program to celebrate volunteerism in the district.
He’s now turning the page to 360 Youth Services, where he will serve as Development Director for the 501c(3) not-for-profit agency, and help celebrate hope for 360’s clients.
360 Youth Services provides life-changing services to youth through substance abuse prevention education, counseling and supportive housing for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. In his role, Jason will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to advance 360’s mission, including executing comprehensive fundraising, community outreach and marketing initiatives. Jason’s passion for providing youth the tools they need to be successful will give hope to many 360 Youth Services clients for years to come.
And that’s where Jason is now.
