A lot of impactful things happen inside our Y Centers and in our community wide programs. We are proud of this but also don’t want to forget to spread the good out in our community.
Through October 11, Y staff, volunteers and members are being challenged to perform as many Random Acts Of Kindness as they can. These “RAOKs” are selfless acts performed by a person or people wishing to assist or cheer up an individual or a group of people.
A “RAOK” could be helping someone bring groceries to their car or taking dessert to a fire station. The possibilities are endless. We hope this will brighten peoples’ day and we invite others in the community to join us by doing the same and paying some kindness forward.
Halloween at the Y
The last few weeks of October are great fun for families and kids at the YMCAs of Naperville!
The Kroehler Y hosts a Halloween Party on Fri., Oct. 23.
The Fry YMCA hosts their party on Fri., Oct. 30.
Activities include family games, haunted houses, a pirates lagoon, trick or treating and a critter hunt. All great and safe family fun! These events are free to Y members and available for a small fee to future YMCA members.
