Tenn’s Taste – Make it Mexican with a heart

-

Jack_MMy next dining experience took me to a favorite of mine Chipotle Mexican Grill, located in River Square on Chicago Avenue in downtown Naperville.

What person does not like this place! They have a variety of fresh toppings and meat stuffing. I also chose Chipotle because of their generosity to local charitable organizations. The night I recently went to Chipotle, they were giving back 50 percent of all sales to Young Life, a program I attend regularly.

I’m also very fond of Young Life, so to me, their giving heart made this dining adventure a win-win!

Chipotle opened its doors in 1993 and focuses on the best possible ingredients, serving the tastiest food and growing the most capable team.

For my dinner I went with the steak burrito. I added white rice, black beans, hot salsa, a little bit of sour cream, lettuce and cheese. I know I just got you hungry by just saying the ingredients and let me tell you it was piping hot, fresh and mouth-watering delicious.

I also added a side of their freshly baked chips and hot salsa. The salsa is not too hot, though, but it has a kick.

Here’s a bit of trivia for you all. Did you know that all of Chipotle ingredients come from a farm located within 350 miles of the restaurant where it is served? And they bought more than 20 million pounds of local produce in 2014.

So the next time you’re craving some Mexican fast food, check out any one of Chipotle’s many locations and tell them Jack the foodie sent ya!
