On Sat., Nov. 23, 2019, at approximately 6:55AM, Naperville Police Officers responded to the area of Bauer Road and Briergate Drive for a report of an Attempted Armed Robbery.
Upon arriving, officers learned that the victim was approached while on foot, by a suspect who had exited a maroon Cadillac passenger vehicle. The suspect, armed with a handgun, demanded money from the victim. The suspect re-entered the Cadillac and left the area. A second vehicle, described as a black sedan, was also present during the attempt armed robbery and left the area with the Cadillac. The black sedan is believed to have been stolen from the area. No information is available regarding the description(s), or number of occupant(s) in the black sedan. There were no injuries sustained in this incident. There is no current threat to the public as both vehicles left the area.
The suspect is described as a male/black, wearing a mask and black hooded sweatshirt, armed with a handgun.
The suspect vehicle is described as a late model Cadillac, maroon in color, with tinted windows and spoked wheels.
