Naperville Country Club has opened its golf facilities to 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Golf Championship teams, as they prepare for the Division I Collegiate Golf Championship to be held at Rich Harvest Farms, in Sugar Grove IL from May 19 to May 31, 2017.
The Furman Women’s Golf Team and the Kent State Women’s Golf team practiced at Naperville Country Club (NCC) this past week. On Tuesday, May 23, The Men’s Golf team from USC will be at NCC, followed by the Vanderbilt Men’s Golf team on Wednesday, May 24.
“As these fine collegiate players were seeking local practice facilities in the weeks leading up to the NCAA Division I Golf Championship, Naperville Country Club was honored to open its course to both the Furman and Kent Women’s Golf Teams last week. This week, we are pleased to host both the USC and Vanderbilt Men’s Golf teams,” noted NCC General Manager, Tim Anderson. “Naperville Country Club’s beautiful and award-winning private championship golf course provides the perfect backdrop and right amount of challenge to prepare these talented collegiate amateur golfers in their quest for a championship title.”

2018 Women’s Mid-America Conference Championship
In April 2018, Naperville Country Club will host the Women’s Mid-American Conference Championship for the 10 MAC schools that sponsor women’s golf – Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Toledo, and Western Michigan. The winner of the 2018 MAC Championship will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA regional round.
“On behalf of Naperville Country Club, we whole-heartedly support amateur golf,” stated club president Steven Romberg in a news release. “Opening our golf facilities to these fine collegiate athletes provides inspiration to all aspiring local amateur golfers, including the local high school varsity golf teams who participate yearly in Naperville Country Club’s Vern McGonagle High School Golf Tournament.”
