‘Two Gentlemen of Verona’ will appear in Central Park on July 15

Above / The 2016 Shakespeare in the Park features “Two Gentlemen of Verona” on July 15, 2016. The free performance will take place at 7PM at Central Park in downtown Naperville.

The Naperville Park District invites families and people of all ages to enjoy a free, outdoor performance of “Two Gentlemen of Verona” by the Midsummer Theatre Troupe beginning at 7PM Fri., July 15.

Above / The characters in the 16-member cast include Crab-the-Dog, disguises and surprises as well as portrayals of themes as current as today. Naperville’s Dan McQuaid performs the role of Duke.

The Park District’s 2016 Shakespeare in the Park program presents “Two Gentlemen of Verona,” one of Shakespeare’s earliest plays. The amusing story includes a double romance, a trip from Verona to Milan, and the themes of friendship and betrayal.

Shakespeare in the Park takes place at the Community Concert Center in Central Park, located at 104 E. Benton Avenue in downtown Naperville.
