Original Post / Fair Lady Productions will host Naperville’s Fifth Annual Fair Lady Award Banquet from 5 to 7:30PM on Thursday, June 2.

The 2016 award will be presented to Becky Anderson, co-owner of Anderson’s Bookshops, with locations in Naperville, Downers Grove and LaGrange.

According to executive director of Kidz Kabaret Kandiss Hernandez, the Fair Lady Award is a special recognition of a local business woman who has made a difference through her significant contributions to the community.

Recognized internationally, Anderson has traveled as a leading independent book retailer who also works tirelessly to promote “shopping local” with other independent enterprises via an initiative called “IndieBound Naperville.”

While committed to community programming and partnering with local school districts in support of literacy programs such as Naperville READS, her company’s booksigning events attract some of the best-known authors and biggest celebrity writers in the world.

Under her leadership, Anderson’s Bookshops have been recognized numerous times on a state and local level by other businesses and community business organizations.

Currently, Anderson also serves on the Naperville City Council, a seat she has held since May 3, 2015.

Becky Anderson is married to Chuck Wilkins. They have three adult children.

The community is welcome to join business leaders, friends and family to honor Anderson as Naperville’s 2016 Fair Lady.
