Long-time Naperville resident and healthcare industry veteran Bill Kottmann has been promoted to President & CEO of Edward Hospital, effective July 1, reporting to Edward-Elmhurst System CEO Pam Davis.

Since the merger of Edward and Elmhurst Hospitals in 2013, Davis has held the positions of Edward-Elmhurst System CEO and Edward Hospital President & CEO. Davis remains System CEO to focus on System-wide strategies and hands over operational leadership of Edward Hospital to Kottmann.

Elmhurst Hospital President & CEO Mary Lou Mastro will continue to report to Davis.

“Bill has been a great colleague and friend and is one of the key reasons for our growth and success over the years,” said Davis. “He’s led almost every new joint venture we’ve been involved with, and has recruited many key physician leaders to our medical staff. He’s highly respected throughout the Edward-Elmhurst family, and is well known for his civic leadership activities.”

“I am very excited and humbled to have the opportunity to work even more closely with the operational team at Edward Hospital,” stated Kottmann in a news release. “We want to build upon our success as a provider of world class, advanced medical care in a convenient community setting.”

Kottmann and wife, Donna, have lived in Naperville since 1991 where they raised two daughters. He is a founding board member and past chairman of the Naperville Development Partnership.
