Naperville displays patriotism

Celebrate American spirit in Naperville during the Memorial Day Parade and Observance at Central Park on the last Monday in May.

To complement  Independence Day in July, the Exchange Club Ribfest and Independence Day Fireworks are held  in Knoch Park.

The Exchange Club also arranges the Sept. 11 Observance along the Riverwalk, just behind the Naperville Municipal Center.

And Veterans Day is commemorated at 11AM on November 11 at Veterans Park on Gartner with music by the Naperville Municipal Band.

Also, just for the fun of it, the Naperville Jaycees host the Last Fling, its annual four-day family festival with the Last Fling Labor Day Parade.

Note also that since 1859, Municipal Band Concerts throughout the year have  featured patriotic music.

Ribfest and Last Fling have raised millions of private dollars over the years in support of nonprofit organizations providing humanitarian and health services in the community.
