Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Naperville Municipal Band, thank you for a terrific 2025-2026 Concert Season! We had an incredible time preparing and playing our music for you all year. We are very excited for the launch of the 2026-2027 Concert Season and are hard at work preparing for all of the wonderful opportunities we have to share our music with you. It has been very fun selecting repertoire for both the indoor and outdoor concerts and we are pleased to report that there will be something for everyone. As always, we will be playing at a variety of locations throughout the year for a host of different events.
The Band will make its 2026-2027 debut in the Labor Day Parade at 10AM on Monday, September 7.
Later that week, we invite you to two very special events: The 9/11 Observance at 4:45PM on the Riverwalk outside of City Hall on Sept. 11 and the Naperville Sister Cities International Fest 2026 in Central Park on Sept. 12.
For the International Fest, folks are invited to enjoy numerous performing groups throughout the day, including the NMB from 5:30-6:15PM.
Our other service events around town will include the Veterans Day Observance at 11AM on Nov. 11 in Veterans Park and the Memorial Day Parade and Observance on May 31.
The indoor season includes:
Fall Concert on October 25 – 4PM @ Wentz Hall
A mix of repertoire including sounds of fall and a Tribute to our Veterans
Holiday Concert on December 18 – 7:30PM @ Wentz Hall
Winter Concert on March 21 – 4PM @ Wentz Hall
We will be sharing this concert with the Naperville North Wind Ensemble and featuring bassoon soloist and Naperville native, Peter Kolkay, who is currently the Professor of Bassoon at Vanderbilt University.
Spring Concert on May 16 – 3PM @ Neuqua Valley High School
We will be sharing this concert with the NMB Big Band and will be welcoming James Hile from Elmhurst University as our guest conductor.
Before we know it, summer will be here! Central Park concerts will begin on June 3 and take us on a musical journey every Thursday evening all the way until Aug. 13. Themes will feature a European vacation, the Kids Concert, a trip to the cinema, a Patriotic Celebration, a Broadway Trivia Night, and much, much more. It is going to be a very fun summer!
