The City of Naperville is partnering with North Central College and Naperville Neighbors United to host “A Seat for Everyone: Naperville Comes Together,” an opportunity for community members to build meaningful relationships across generations, experiences and perspectives. An initial meeting featuring a guided discussion will take place at 6:30PM on Wed., July 1, at Stevenson Hall in the Wentz Science Center on the North Central College campus, 131 S. Loomis Street.
Participants will form small groups at the July 1 event that will continue to meet over the following months before reconvening as a large group in late 2026 or early 2027. Please bring a meaningful personal object to the July 1 meeting to help spark conversation and connection.

“The vision for the series is to help create a thriving community where people of every generation and culture feel connected, valued, and empowered to contribute to the collective well-being of all,” says Geneace Williams, the city’s manager of diversity, equity and inclusion. “Through conversation, storytelling and ongoing engagement, participants will gain tools to help them expand their circles of connection, discover common ground and deepen the sense of belonging and shared responsibility that helps communities thrive.”
“A Seat for Everyone: Naperville Comes Together” is part of the inclusive community conversations hosted by the City in partnership with other organizations. The series includes storytelling, as well as opportunities for the community to participate in an ongoing dialogue that fosters inclusion.
