For 66 years, the Naperville Woman’s Club has hosted a quality, juried art fair. On June 27-28 you’ll find more than 100 juried artists lining the paths of the Naper Settlement from 10AM to 5PM at the NWC Fine Art & Artisan Fair.
Throughout these two days, visitors can appreciate first hand the creativity and beauty of true art—and take home a one-of-a-kind treasure that speaks to them—something they can enjoy for years to come. And there is something for everyone in many categories: paintings, photography, ceramics, sculptures, wood, fiber, glass, mixed media, jewelry and more.
With one of their goals to support art, the NWC also offers hands-on experiences for children and adults to express their own creativity, or at the very least, appreciate the talents that true artists have nurtured over the years. KidsMatter, Pinot’s Palette and ClaySpace provide structured opportunities for children to paint and sculpt.
Then on a grander scale, visitors of all ages can contribute to an 8’ x 10’ mural of a painting selected from one of the fair’s artists. This year NWC selected a floral watercolor titled “Succulents” by Elizabeth Waddington—who as a gardener has grown every flower she has painted. Guests can contribute to this mural by duplicating an 8”x 8” square which is then attached to the 8’ x 10’ frame. Both children and adults enjoy seeing their contribution be a part of the emerging painting.
In addition, visitors can enjoy food and beverage while taking in the whole experience on the historic grounds of the Naper Settlement.
In collaboration with Clayspace, handmade pottery pieces are available for purchase with proceeds donated back to the Naperville Woman’s Club for local food banks.
In a time when life moves quickly and connection can feel fleeting, this event offers a chance to slow down and engage with art.
