Members of the Cress Creek Garden Club of Naperville have been collecting personal care items for the Interfaith Food Pantry and will continue collecting at the club’s monthly meeting on Fri., Feb. 13.

Cress Creek Garden Club meets on the second Friday of every month September through May at the Arrowhead Golf Course in Wheaton. Members and guests are served a delicious lunch and a featured speaker presents a different program every month.

“The club also received a grant from Thrivent and members purchased additional items for the food pantry at Costco and Target,” said club publicist Sally Johnson. “Items included shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.”

Items will be dropped off mid February.

Apply for scholarships by March 1, 2026

The Cress Creek Garden Club is also accepting applications for its scholarship program. High school seniors and/or college students majoring in related fields reflecting the club’s mission, such as horticulture, floral design, landscaping, environmental science, forestry, water restoration, etc., are encouraged to apply.
