The City of Naperville is seeking two volunteer co-chairs to lead its upcoming bicentennial celebration in 2031. Naperville will mark the 200th anniversary of its founding in 2031, providing an opportunity to honor its rich history, culture and growth.
The selected volunteers will serve as co-chairs of the 2031 Bicentennial Committee by guiding the development of community celebrations and projects from 2026 until the bicentennial in 2031. The co-chairs will work together to create an inclusive, community-wide celebration and build a team of community members to assist. Other responsibilities include leading fundraising efforts to raise money for events, community projects and other celebration activities, and recruiting community members to lead and serve on various subcommittees.
An ideal candidate is someone who is organized, great at communication and multitasking, and passionate about the Naperville community. Applicants must reside in Naperville and may not currently hold elected government office.

A selection committee comprised of representatives from the Downtown Naperville Alliance, Naperville Chamber of Commerce, Naperville Park District, Naper Settlement and City of Naperville staff will conduct interviews in March. Selection is anticipated by May.
